Many dream of aging gracefully and remaining independent. In reality, as we grow the fear of the loss of mental capacity haunts us. That's where neuroplasticity steps in - a pretty hip concept to help keep our brains flexible and resilient. Here we will talk about how we can remain even more independent with neuroplasticity through practical, real-life tips and ideas with scientific backing.
By Francesca Morgan December 11, 2024
Our Story Red Bear Care Wellness, LLC was founded after I spent years caring for my father. The difficulties I encountered, and the stories shared by others in similar circumstances motivated me to develop something innovative and impactful. I imagined a model that left behind the traditional assisted death approach, prevalent in assisted living today, for something much better. My goal was to enable seniors to regain and maintain their independence, enhance their quality of life, and extend that life as much as possible. Initially, my concept was an evolution of assisted living, but it transformed into something much more significant during the development and implementation process. I realized that simply improving assisted living facilities was insufficient. I needed to design a comprehensive system that supports seniors from the first day they require assistance through their last day of life. Throughout the first four months of 2024, I dedicated myself to creating a system that ensures continuity of care for seniors from that first day of need to the final day. Red Bear Care Wellness, LLC represents the first-ever vertical integration of the senior life cycle, focusing on overall wellness and neuroplasticity training. Our approach will merge neuroplasticity training—physical and cognitive therapies that build new, robust neural pathways while enhancing muscle tone and fine motor skills—with blue-zone nutrition and socialization. We strive to enable seniors to regain and maintain their balance, gait, cognitive and digital dexterity, and social interactions, thus extending the length and improving the quality of their lives. To provide seamless continuity of care from the first day of need through the last day of life, Red Bear Care Wellness, LLC is comprised of a range of companies dedicated to this mission: We Care Senior Centers Red Bear Care RBC Therapy Red Bear Home Health Care Dan's Home - A wellness home Red Bear Hospice Red Bear Renovation (Renewal) Red Bear Care Institute (Educational Outreach and Caregiver training)
